Upcoming travel promotion being delivered by Leicestershire County Council

I am writing to advise you of an upcoming travel promotion being delivered by Leicestershire County Council and local bus operators throughout August 2026. The promotion includes:

 

• Summer Bus Fare Offer – a national Government scheme providing free bus travel for children aged 5 to 15 years.
• £1 adult single fares on the LCC-supported bus network, providing connections within and between the county’s major towns and Leicester.
• 50% discount on FoxConnect fares, our demand-responsive transport service operating across 11 zones in Leicestershire, serving more than 200 settlements, destinations and interchange points.

 

To help promote these offers, we have produced the attached publicity materials and would be grateful if you could display them in suitable community locations, such as parish halls, community centres, and public noticeboards. The accompanying article text can also be used in parish newsletters, websites, and other local publications.
